Gritty. Realistic. DC Wolfe is a humanized, believable character. Genuine UK atmospheric feel.

This is a great book and I really enjoyed BUT be warned there are two copies of this book in the Library One is called Murder Bag and the other is Murder Man. They are the same book so don't be fooled.

Always enjoy reading books by Tony Parsons

Intricately plotted british police procedural with a complex MC. The subject matter & Max Wolfe's personal situation make this a slightly darker story.
Plenty of red herrings & not until the last few pages do you get the final twist. Some of the plot contains old tropes you've seen before but the relationship between Max & his daughter puts you in a forgiving mood.
