Fast-paced scenes of action and beautifully eloquent musings about ethics, romance and adventure, laugh-out-loud dialogue and tear-jerking moments — this book has it all. The fourth and last book of Bryan Davis' "Oracle of Fire" series, and the eight and last in the combined tale of "Oracles of Fire" and "Dragons in Our Midst", "The Bones of Makaidos" is the moving, exciting climax of an unforgettable series. If you like fantasy — especially dragons and other worlds connected to ours — books that draw you closer to God, and something that will fully engross you, look no further. As a teen Christian reader, I love all of Bryan Davis' books and recommend them to everyone I meet.

After I finally returned this book back to the library I had a deep longing to re-read all the books in "Dragons in Our Midst" and "Oracles of Fire". I felt connected to the characters in some way, as though I knew them personally and had been right next to them through all their trials and joyous moments.
These series are the best Christian science-fiction books about dragons that I know I will ever read.
And if you end up reading them I know you won't regret it...

THIS BOOK IS AWESOME!! A really suspenseful ending to a great series. Bryan Davis is writing a series after this one called Children of the Bard.
