Spooky and perfect and delightfully unsettling. Yovanoff's latest edges more into the gothic mystery than horror, but still achieves the have-to-sleep-with-the-lights-on feeling. the blending of the supernatural with real human evil, alongside difficult topics (Lillian died of anorexia) makes this a good pick for fans of Christopher Pike. Also good for readers who want horror but aren't ready for Gillian Flynn yet.
