Sumptuous-looking production that inevitably takes some liberties with history, but most of what you see actually happened in some shape or form, though sometimes at a slightly different time and in another context. Francois Arnaud is adequate as Cesare Borgia though he looks really funny when wearing cardinal's robes--like a child playing dress-up. Jeremy Irons as Rodrigo Borgia/Alexander VI is great--the glue that holds it all together.
