Just imagine - Kids who don't grow up - Shadows that run away from their owners - Pirates - Fairies - And the amazing ability to fly!.... Wow! One can't help but wish, and hope, and dream that this tremendous adventure to Never-Neverland, with all of its hypnotic enchantment, would somehow happen to them. While this 1953 Disney release doesn't quite qualify as one of the studio's animated classics, it is nonetheless a wonderfully entertaining version of James M. Barrie's children's play about Never-Neverland, and the three Darling children taken there by Peter Pan and his fairy companion, Tinkerbell. Captain Hook is so nasty that you can't help but love him for being that way. And, of course, Peter Pan torments him to no end.... And, yes, it's all great fun.
