So sad that such a great writer was broken physically and emotionally simply because of the hatred of homosexuality. Rupert Everett does a such a great job of disappearing into the character of Wilde that I did not realize he was playing the role until the final credits. Thankfully a few people remained loyal to Wilde and helped him after his release from prison and up until his death. Reggie Turner, Colin Firth, even paid off his debts after Wilde's death. Alfred "Bosie" Douglas is shown as a user of Wilde who did not help him with his debts. Excellent film. Kristi & Abby Tabby
