"I’m 100 pages in, and I do not think I can go on. This is the most depressing book! Kristen Hannah is a wonderful storyteller, as has been proved in several of her other books, but unfortunately this is a story I do not want to continue." Permalink

"Well written, but so, so depressing. After getting about halfway through it, I flipped to the last chapters and it got more depressing -- didn't think it possible. Don't know if Covid-19 has had an effect or not. Very disappointed." Permalink
